THE MAITRE CHOCOLATIER ANDREA SLITTI AWARDED AT THE ITALY FOOD AWARDS

Milan, February 2023 – Maitre Chocolatier Andrea Slitti ( www.slitti.it ), one of the most important and recognized artisanal chocolatiers in the world, was awarded in Milan at the Italy Food Awards, for the “artisanal chocolatiers” category.

Italy Food Awards , an event which has become increasingly important in the selection of excellent artisan companies and which is about to land in New York next year, rewards the overall winner of the category through anonymous tastings carried out by special sector juries. The award, dedicated to Italian agri-food producers, sponsored by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies which aims to enhance Italian small and medium-sized enterprises in the food sector, as well as contribute to the development and knowledge of Italy's food and wine excellences, arrives at a distance a few days after other victories, such as the two Golden Tablets at Taste 2023 in Florence.

“I am honored to have won this prestigious national award - comments Andrea Slitti - and happy for my team because it rewards all the effort we put into the production of our chocolates every day. The anonymous tasting method makes us even more proud, because we were selected among all for our quality, taste, and commitment to always producing excellent products. A dedication that has allowed us to make our excellent products known and appreciated throughout the world." and this makes us proud

Starting in 1969 from coffee roasting, the story of Andrea Slitti and his company has rapidly evolved, embracing the world of chocolate, distinguishing itself from the beginning for the selection of raw materials and the care and processing of the product. Today, Andrea Slitti is recognized as one of the most important artisan chocolatiers in the world: an expert cocoa selector, he entrusts the creation of his recipes to his palate, which have led him to win over 190 awards for the quality of his chocolate.
